Sunday football round-up: Including defeat for Gossoms End in the Herts Senior Cup

There was Herts FA Sunday Senior Cup disappointment for Berkhamsted Sunday Football League representatives Gossoms End as they were knocked out of the competition in the third round.

Noah Jones was on target for the Dacorum side, but it was not enough to prevent a 3-1 defeat at the hands of South Oxhey outfit St Josephs.

There was better news in the Herts FA Sunday Intermediate Cup second round, however, as goals from Ryan Pereira (2) and Keii Roberts earned Jam United a 3-2 victory over The Boot Baldock Reserves.

Hemel Athletic romped to am emphatic 9-2 win over fellow BSFL side The Midland as Matt Collier hit four goals, with Lewis Coates (3) and Darren Hewitt also finding the net.

The Bull Athletic thrashed Lea Sports PSG 6-0 with strikes from Ross Paterson (3), Pete Austin (2) and Ciaran Durcan, but it was not such good news for Berko Tornadoes Reserves, Jocketts, FC Intervino, AC Grapes and Greenacres II as they were all knocked out of the competition.

In league action, Premier Division side ACF Boars cruised to a 7-2 victory at Berko Athletic courtesy of goals from Lewis Cruwys (2), Sonny French (2), James Davies, Curtis Donaldson and an own goal.

The other game in the division saw a 3-2 win for Flaunden over Park Rangers thanks to efforts from Chris Marks, Matt Dean and Adam Moulster.

In Division Two, Adeyfield hammered Palace 6-1 as Scott Bangerte hit a hat-trick, and Shaun Stevens and Shaun Booth were also on target.

Focus won 2-1 against Robin Hood thanks to Sean Lane and Adam Tizzard, while The Queens Head and Clarkwood shared a 1-1 draw.

Echoes were the big winners in Division Three as they romped to an 11-1 thrashing of AFC Saints with goals from Jack Bridges (3), Jack Watts (3), Luke Wood (2), Ross Eddy (2) and Dan Hughes.

Hemel Tudors thumped Gade 7-1 thanks to Ben Jackson (2), Kenny Harrington (2), Alex Jackson, Steve Rance and Jack Burrows, while goals from Steve Clark (2), AJ Adzahoe, Sean Workman and Lavvi Zgimbau earned a 5-1 win for Old Bell Athletic against A&A Flooring.
