Saints through to the final as Boars wrap up the title

AFC Saints dug deep in extra-time to record a 3-1 victory over Berko Athletic Reserves and book their place in the BSFL Junior Cup final.

Saints were trailing 1-0 with 80 minutes on the clock, but they levelled the game at 1-1 before getting the job done in extra-time.

Bradley Turner bagged a brace for the Saints, with Adam Robinson also on target to keep AFC’s cup dreams alive.

In league action, meanwhile, unbeaten AFC Boars wrapped up the Premier Division title in impressive style as they thumped Flaunden 4-1.

Curtis Donaldson helped himself to two goals for Boars, with John Davies and Lewis Cruwys also on target for the seemingly unstoppable side.

Elsewhere in the division, two goals from Lee Stobbs and another from Andy Wheeler-King helped Berko Tornadoes to a 3-2 victory at Comets Sports Club, while Doves United beat Park Rangers 3-1 with efforts from Adiel mannion, Ryan Charles and Sam Flood.

There were plenty of goals in Division One, with nine of them coming in a 5-4 triumph for Leverstock Green Corinthians against Greenacres II.

Ben Davis notched a couple of goals, with Chris Armorgie, Alex Kinsley and Ross Adams completing the scoring for the Corinthians.

Jam United also hit five in a 5-1 thumping of Berko Tornadoes Reserves as Lewis Goddard led the way with a hat-trick. Darry Jashek and Dean Howie were the other marksmen for United.

Another hat-trick hero was Jack Wood, who salvaged a point for Apsley Athletic with the last touch of the game as he headed home for a 3-3 draw at Potten End Sunday.

Robin Hood were the big winners in Division Two, thumping Landrovers 6-1 courtesy of goals from Dom Banks, Aaron Mason, Dexter Franklin-Beck, Tommy North, Lewis Taylor and Dale Evans.

Two goals from Sean Lane and another from Stephen Smith earned a 3-0 triumph for Focus at Hemel Athletic, and Jocketts were 3-1 victors at The Midland.

The other game in the Division saw FC Intervino draw 1-1 with The Queens Head; Ben Darby and Andrew Lloyd getting the goals.

Clint Findley hit a hat-trick for Division Three side Echoes in their 4-2 win against Gade, with Luke Wood getting the other goal.

Sporting Blackbirds won 2-0 at The Old Bellgate thanks to strikes from Ben Roberts and Chris Sykes, while Lewis Wornham and Duncan Allen were the scorers for Hemel Tudors in their 2-1 win over Adeyfield Reserves.

Elsewhere, Boxmoor and Old Bell Athletic shared a rare 0-0 draw.
