The Tudors had hoped that their third round tie would go ahead, but the Vauxhall Road pitch failed an afternoon inspection by the match officials following a heavy deluge of rain.

In fact, it was not just the Hemel game which fell foul of the weather, with SSML Premier Division sides Leverstock Green, Berkhamsted, and Tring also seeing their fixtures cancelled due to the rain.

Hemel’s attention will now turn to Saturday as they prepare to face Farnborough in a Vanarama Conference South fixture at Vauxhall Road.

Looking ahead to the game, Tudors boss Dean Brennan said: “Farnborough have been recruiting a lot of players of late; it’s going take a little time for them to gel.

“They a very honest and hard-working team with a real goal threat up front with the boy Louie Theophanous who has scored regularly this season.

“We are really looking forward to the game.”

Hemel currently sit 10th in the table with 33 points, but with games in hand on most of the sides above them.

The Tudors are now unbeaten at home in 14 league and cup games and are unbeaten home and away for seven consecutive games.

Farnborough, meanwhile, are struggling in 20th position in the table. Saturday’s game kicks-off at 3pm.
