The two playoff-chasing sides go into the game separated by just one point – but Brennan insists that the pressure is on Ebbsfleet to win the game.

“Ebbsfleet are a very good side and I don’t think that they have got the results they deserve recently,” said the Tudors boss. “For them it’s a must-win game on Saturday, whereas for us we have to make sure that we don’t get beaten.

“It’ a big game and we are looking forward to it. It’s a fantastic football club, Ebbsfleet, and they have got the Ambramovich of non-league in charge.

“It will be a fantastic day at their stadium – there should be over 2,000 people there for their community day so we are really looking forward to it.

“It will be a good test for us as a young management team against another fantastic young manager in Jamie Day.”

Hemel currently sit in eighth place in the table, one point above Ebbsfleet but with a game in hand over the Kent side. The Tudors are seven points adrift of the playoff places, but have played fewer games than the majority of sides above them.

And Brennan is expecting a full-blooded clash at Stonebridge Road as both sides look to boost their promotion chances.

“They are going to come after us in the first 20 minutes because they have to win,” he said. “They aren’t hiding the fact that they have to get promoted.

“They aren’t messing around, they have brought players from League One sides – people like Kedwell and Cunnington.

“These are the type of players we will be up against on Saturday and it’s a great opportunity for our team to test themselves. It should be a fantastic game.”

Tudors goalkeeper Laurie Walker is fully fit for Saturday so will return between the sticks.

Left-back Jordan Brown, who is affiliated to Luton Town but had been playing for Boreham Wood, has joined Hemel this week and goes straight into tomorrow’s matchday squad.
