Midfield ace Dear joins Watford Ladies on loan from Chelsea

The 18-year-old centre midfielder, who can also play in a more advanced role, featured for the Blues in the Continental Cup last season.

One of those appearances was against the Golden Girls, where she impressed after coming on as a half-time substitute.

It was the same again when the two sides met in a friendly recently. This time she managed to get on the scoresheet, with a curling effort into the top corner.

Having clearly impressed the coaching staff at Watford, she’ll get the chance to do that even more over the next eight games.

The first of those is the Aston Villa match at Vicarage Road, which the new arrival is eligible to be selected for.
