Man arrested in relation to incident of anti-semitic chanting on London Midland train

A 44-year-old man from Northampton has been arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence after an incident of anti-semitic chanting on a London Midland train.

British Transport Police (BTP) recently appealed for information about five football fans travelling on the line between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes - which also serves Dacorum, Leighton Buzzard, Bletchley and Bedford – on Saturday, 15 August.

Following the appeal, a 44-year-old man from Northampton has been arrested. He has been bailed pending further enquiries until Monday, October 26.

Four other men will be spoken to in due course.
