Leverstock Green or Berkhamsted to face tough tie in the Herts Senior Cup

There will be at least two Vanarama Conference South sides in the Herts Senior Cup semi-final draw after Boreham Wood and St Albans City both beat the weather and their opposition on Tuesday night.

Hemel Town will be hoping to add their name to the list when they play their quarter-final with Watford that was postponed due to waterlogging.

It means whoever wins the rearranged Leverstock Green versus Berkhamsted tie on Tuesday will be trying to bridge at least a three division gap to get to the final of the competition.

Berko’s league trip to Cockfosters has been put back to Tuesday, March 17 to make way for the Leverstock Green tie.

Berkhamsted and Leverstock Green’s league clash at U18 level – like the senior tie – was a victim of the weather on Wednesday evening.

On Saturday, the Comrades return to league action when they are at home to Hertford Town in a clash of two of the top-six sides of the SSML Premier Division.

Watford Ladies, meanwhile, will be using Berkhamsted’s Broadwater ground for the third round proper of the FA Women’s Cup on February 1. In this week’s draw they came out at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.
