It’s the final countdown as Echoes march on in the Herts Junior Cup

BSFL representatives Echoes have booked their place in the Herts FA Sunday Junior Cup final after cruising past Sun Postal Sports 3-0 in the semis.

Clint Findley, Gary Roberts and Jack Watts got the goals for Echoes to earn a convincing win.

AFC Boars could not replicate the feat in the Senior Cup, however, as they were beaten 4-1 by Skew Bridge in the semis.

In league action, Premier Division side Park Rangers thumped Comets Sports Club 5-0 with goals from Lee Franklin (2), Dave McKenzie, Aaron Baverstock and Greg Goodchild, while strikes from Craig Anscombe and Ricky Shepherd earned a 2-0 win for Berko Athletic at Gossoms End.

Division One side Leverstock Green Corinthians managed to beat Potten End Sunday 2-0 despite playing with 10 men for 75 minutes. Drew Duggan and Alex Thompson got the goals.

The Bull Athletic also picked up three points, winning 2-1 at Apsley Athletic thanks to Tom Kilcoyne and Pete Austin.

Two goals from Sean Lane and another from Jake Broome earned Focus a 3-1 win at The Midland in Division Two, while FC Intervino beat Robin Hood 3-2 with efforts from Jack Stapleton, Ben Darby and Bradley Hedges.

Clarkwood and The Queens Head drew 1-1.

The big winners in Division Three were Boxmoor who thrashed Gade 6-2 with goals from Christian Hough (3), Haydn Cassidy (2) and Toby Sands.

Hemel Tudors beat The Old Bellgate 4-1 through Lewis Wornham (2), Josh Leeson and Jack Burrows, while AFC Saints had Bradley Turner and Graham Aikman to thank for a 2-0 win at Berko Tornadoes A.

Sporting Blackbirds were 4-2 winners over Old Bell Athletic as Rahaul Thaker, Perry Rodgers, Chris Sykes and James Hewitt all found the net.
