Four-goal Andy Humphreys led Tring Corinthians to a 12-goal romp at Aylesbury United Reserves in the SSML Division Two Cup on Saturday.

Astonishingly it was only 1-0 after 40 minutes - after the evergreen Humphreys had converted a Wheeler-King cross.

Several chances had been spurned, most notably by Byrne and Salmon, but then the floodgates opened, with 11 more goals being added without reply in a ruthless display of movement and finished against a young Aylesbury side.

Humphreys ended up with four, taking his tally to eight goals in five games, while man of the match Will Salmon and Luke Byrne both grabbed hat-tricks.

Mark Burfoot and Ross Gregory were the other scorers, with youngster Jonty Wager-Leigh also shining on his debut.

Tring now go into a series of league games and hope to continue their push towards the top places.

The Reserves, meanwhile, went down 6-3 against The 61 FC, with Stuart Howe (2) and Carl Aldridge the scorers.

In other news for the club, a new sponsor has been announced, with local company Solgar Vitamins Ltd stepping forward to sponsor a new kit.
