Hemel’s season got off to a poor start with a 3-0 defeat in their opening National League South fixture at Eastbourne Borough on Saturday.
The home side had the chance to go ahead after two minutes but Ryan Worrall’s penalty was saved by new Hemel keeper Jonathan Henly.
However Henly was powerless to stop Elliott Romain turning home two crosses on 12 and 16 minutes to put Eastbourne firmly in the box seat.
And Romain completed his hat-trick two minutes from time to seal the home win in front of 595 spectators.
Hemel are in home action on Tuesday when they welcome East Thurrock United to Vauxhall Road.
Hemel: Henly, Kaloczi, Kelly, Mendy, Asafu-Adjaye, Johnson, Richens, Corcoran, Robinson, Potton, Taafe.
