A delightful chip by Rhys Stonebank put Rovers in front, and further goals before the break from Neil Perrin and Scott Porter gave them a 3-0 lead.

Porter added his second before Jamal Babb completed the scoring. Credit must be given to the young Tring team who battled hard throughout the 90 minutes.

Elsewhere, Hemel Rovers Reserves went to Harpenden Rovers and shared 10 goals.

Despite trailing 4-2 and 5-4, a Kai Lewis effort two minutes from time secured a point for his side.

Ray Wood grabbed a hat-trick and Jamie Evans was also on target with a wonder strike.

Rovers’ third team, meanwhile, also hit five goals as they beat Harpenden Rovers Reserves 5-3.

Two goals apiece from Adam Durrant and Ben Durrant, plus another by Mark Tankard, completed a comeback after Rovers had been 3-1 down.
