Tudors boss Dean Brennan had promised to field a strong side for the clash, and he was true to his word as the Tudors romped to an easy victory.

Brennan made a number of changes to the team that won 3-1 at Bishop’s Stortford in their previous outing, but the players who came in were more than capable replacements and staked their claims for a starting place at Bury.

Zane Banton, on loan from Luton, hit a first half hat-trick for the Tudors – although he is cup-tied for Saturday’s clash having played for Biggleswade Town in the previous round against Maidstone United.

Jamale McKenzie-Lowe was also on target for Hemel in the first half as they took a 4-1 lead in at the interval.

The score remained the same until the 70th minute when James Brighton added a fifth goal for the Tudors, only for Charlie Cole to reply for the visitors five minutes later.

There was still time for five more goals in the game – with Hemel substitute Lewis Toomey helping himself to a quick-fire 13 minute hat-trick and Leon Lobjoit also adding his name to the scoresheet for the Tudors, with Will Green finding the net for the visitors.

Hemel’s attention now turns to Saturday’s trip to League Two side Bury – with the Tudors hopeful of causing a memorable upset.
