Hemel Hempstead Town fans can breathe a sigh of relief – contrary to rumours which were circulating on Monday evening, manager Dean Brennan has NOT stepped down.
Twitter was awash with speculation regarding Brennan’s future following Hemel’s win over Tring Athletic on Monday afternoon, but it soon turned out that there was no truth to the claims that the Hemel boss had resigned.
When contacted by Gazette sports editor Adam Hull, Brennan said: “I’ve got two years left on my contract – they have me for a few years yet.”
Brennan has been a big hit with the Hemel fans since he joined the club – guiding the Tudors to the Conference South where they enjoyed a highly promising debut campaign and narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
They also picked up two trophies this season.
