Goal-hungry Tudors run riot in the St Mary’s Cup

It was Hemel’s highest win since the 1933/34 season when they beat RAF Uxbridge 13-0, with the unfortunate Chipperfield side finding themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hemel fielded a very strong side to gain some confidence before Saturday’s FA Cup game at Chippenham.

The idea to play a full first team squad – minus a couple of players who were unavailable through injury – certainly worked for Dean Brennan as his side put their opponents to the sword.

Herts County side Chipperfield play five levels below the Tudors, so it was never going to be an easy night and they found themselves 3-0 down within 15 minutes.

Lewis Toomey and Jordan Parkes helped themselves to a hat-trick apiece, with Jamal Lowe and Ben Mackey getting a brace each.

Efforts from Kieran Murphy, Ed Asafu-Adjaye, Zach Reynolds and an own goal completed the rout, while Lowe came close to being the third player to notch a hat-trick when he hit the post in the last minute.

A small crowd of 79 watched the proceedings on a chilly night and Tudors boss Brennan will be hoping his side keep their scoring boots on come Saturday.

The third qualifying round clash kicks-off at 3pm at Chippenham’s Hardenhuish Park ground.
