Ben Clarke, from Berkhamsted, started playing FootGolf in June last year after he discovered the sport on social media.

It soon became clear that the 24-year-old had a natural flair for the sport – unsurprisingly, a combination of golf and football – and he went on to finish fourth in his first ever ranking event in only his second time of playing.

The following week was The UK FootGolf Classic Open in Essex, where Ben finished second from a field of 178 players, with an impressive score of 12-under-par.

A couple of weeks later Ben took on some of the best players from Europe at the UK FootGolf International Open - part of The European Tour Trophy 2014. He ended up finishing second over the two-day event, beating the runner-up of the overall tour.

After performing well in all of the major events, as well as making the top-three in 15 other competitions, Ben gained enough ranking points to be crowned the first ever UK FootGolf Association number one.

“My aim for 2015 is to retain my UK number 1 status,” said Ben. “I have got off to a good start by winning the first event of the season in Cambridge.

“My ambition is to compete abroad in the European Trophy Tour, travelling to different countries and playing the elite players of Europe”

“Therefore I’m looking for sponsors to support me in achieving my ambitions. For anybody who should wish to sponsor me, I’d wear thir logo on my playing shirt and give the company or brand plenty of coverage.”

Ben has recently become an ambassador for the FootGolf partner charity Balls To Cancer and has also appeared on a few TV programmes playing the sport - including Sky Sports and Japan’s biggest channel NHK. He will head to Slovakia for a European Tour event in April.
