BSFL round-up: Echoes go through in the Sunday Junior Cup

BSFL representatives Echoes have booked their place in the last-four of the Herts FA Sunday Junior Cup after seeing off Markyate in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Jack Watts, Jack Bridges and Luke Wood struck for Echoes as they won 3-2 to earn a place in the semis.

In league action, AFC Boars ran riot in the Premier Division as they thumped Comets Sports Club 8-0 with four goals from Sonny French, two from Curtis Donaldson, and one each from Robin Miller and Jon Davies.

Doves United won well as they thrashed Gossoms End 7-3 thanks to Adiel Mannion (3), Ben Hammond (2), Myley Cash and Chad Pinchin, while Tom Garraway (2) and Ryan Sturges earned a 3-1 victory for Berko Tornadoes against Berko Athletic.

The other game in the division ended in a 1-0 triumph for Flaunden at Park Rangers, with Josh Hutchinson-Kemel getting the goal.

Leverstock Green Corinthians were the big winners in Division One as they cruised to a 6-1 win over Berko Tornadoes Reserves with strikes from Craig Sharples (2), Alex Kinsley (2), Ross Adams and Ben Davis.

The Bull Athletic also picked up three points as Josh Connelly (2) and Adam Field struck in a 3-2 win a Potten End Sunday.

Division Two saw a crushing win for FC Intervino against Clarkwood as hat-tricks from Jake Hosier and Bradley Hedges, as well as an own-goal, earned a 7-0 victory.

Goals from Scott Bangerte (3), Shaun Stevens (2) and Danny Roberts secured a 6-2 win for Adeyfield at Landrovers, while Jocketts beat The Queens Head 3-2. Hemel Athletic were also victorious, beating Focus 3-2 thanks to Lee Picknell, Ryan Knapp and Adam Matthews.

There were plenty of goals in Division three, with nine coming in Gade’s 5-4 win against The Old Bellgate. Luke Wilding hit a hat-trick, and Fillipo Paris and Sam Rawkins were also on target.

Sporting Blackbirds were 3-0 winners at Berko Athletic Res thanks to Lee Plowright, James Hewitt and Chris Sykes, Hemel Tudors beat Berko Tornadoes A 3-2 with goals from Jamie Long (2) and Duncan Allen, and Old Bell Athletic won 4-2 at AFC Saints.
