A heavy downpour on Saturday night and Sunday morning meant most pitches were declared unplayable by the match officials.

AFC Boars will be pleased that their match went ahead, however, as they booked their place in the fourth round of the Herts FA Sunday Senior Cup with a 5-3 victory over Stortford Cobras.

Curtis Donaldson bagged a brace for the Boars, with Jamie Hall, Charlie Martindale and Sonny French also on target for the BSFL representatives.

It was not such good news for Adeyfield Reserves, though, as they lost an 11-goal thriller in the second round of the Herts FA Sunday Junior Cup.

Will McClean hit a hat-trick for Adeyfield and Ryan Luke notched a brace, but it was not enough to prevent Bradmore Rovers Reserves from claiming a 6-5 victory.
