Bedmond Ladies returned to winning ways with an impressive 5-1 win against Welwyn Garden City Ladies.

Bedmond took command of the game from the off and, in the third minute, striker Sarah Gunn’s powerful shot came rebounding off the post.

It was Welwyn who took the lead shortly afterwards, however, as they were gifted a fortunate goal – giving them an early advantage against the run of play.

Bedmond continued pressing and were rewarded with the equaliser from Molly Peters in the 15th minute.

Sensing there was more to be gained, the team went in search of further goals and Gunn claimed her first of the match in the 19th minute.

Bedmond increased their lead in the opening moments of the second half as Peters scored her second goal to give Bedmond a 3-1 lead.

Bedmond were commanding in their performance, with a strong back-line holding firm and continuing to press.

Further goals from strike partnership Gunn and Peters saw the ladies secure the comfortable win.
