Double delight at Thruxton for rejuvenated Price
After a frustrating time at Donington last time out, Team Pyro and BMR driver Price hit the ground running with a great turn of speed in rounds five and six of the championship.
The first race saw Price maintain his third position off the line and he broke away with the leading two as the race approached halfway.

Hide AdPrice made his move into second with three laps to go, and latched on to the back of the leader. In a tense end to the race, Price held on to second, just 0.5s off the overall race win, while also taking the Graduate Cup honours.
The second race in the hot conditions again seemed to favour Price.
Despite being dropped to fourth at the start, Price kept the pressure on for the final podium spot throughout the race.
Eventually on lap 6 he made his move into third; by this time the front two had broken away with a gap back to the BMR-backed Pyro driver.

Hide AdPrice managed to reel off some fast laps to break the slipstream behind him, pulling out a 2.5s gap to his pursuers, before taking the flag in third position to bank another podium finish and Graduate Cup victory.
The impressive showing at Thruxton has vaulted Price up the championship standings. After six rounds, Price is currently seventh overall on 91 points, just 10 points off his next rival and Graduate Cup leader Max Coates.
Price said: “I’m very happy with that result – I’ve felt it’s been coming for some time. It’s a shame we didn’t have a few more laps, though – I was catching Ant and Bushell was catching me. It could have been very interesting.”
Race 2 was another excellent one for Price as he maintained his concentration in sweltering conditions to come home in a fine third place.

Rounds 7 and 8 will take place in a months’ time at Oulton Park Circuit.
