The Herts U13 boys’ team also won their competition, thanks to strong performances from D&T athletes Josiah Barker and reserve Samid Ibrahim.

They will join Okoh, Cowans and Hopper on the trip to Manchester, along with Amelia Woodnick, a part of the winning Herts U13 girls’ squad.

Amy Thurgood helped the Herts U15 girls team to second place, just pipped to the post by Norfolk.
