This year’s event takes place on Sunday, October 5 from the Manor House Playing Fields in Abbots Langley, and will feature 10K, 5K and 3K races.

For the first time, all races will be electronically timed, with gun to chip timing and results on the same day. Runners can enter online at www.tough10.co.uk

Numbers will be limited, so advance registration is the only way to guarantee participation. Any numbers still available will be issued on the day but registration will close 30 minutes before each event.

The 1.5K Fun Run will not be chip-timed, but entry forms are available from Langley Travel in Abbots Langley High Street and can be downloaded from the race website.

An appeal has gone out to local businesses interested in supporting the Tough Ten, to raise the funding for the additional costs involved this year.

All money raised from the day is distributed to local deserving beneficiaries, schools and charities.

Television commitments permitting, former England football manager Graham Taylor will be on hand to set the runners on their way and to present medals afterwards.

The annual pre-race curry night will be held at the Abbots Tandoori on Monday, September 22.

Tickets are £15 and are available from committee members or Langley Travel on 01923 265256. For further information, please email [email protected]
