Black belt delight for SSKI quartet as hard work pays off

Four of Dacorum’s Seishinkai Shotokan Karate International students passed their coveted black-belt gradings at Hemel Hempstead School at the weekend.

Vicky Adams was promoted to 3rd Dan, while Harvey Perkins, Dylan Freeman and Zak Tomlin all received their 1st Dan honours.

The standard was excellent from the world class SSKI group who have produced many world, European and national champions over their 40-year existence in the local area.

Worldwide chief instructor Malcolm Phipps 8th Dan said he was extremely pleased with the weekend’s successful candidates but also gave his commiserations to those who didn’t quite make it this time.
