Beth saddles up for gruelling long distance charity challenge
A cyclist from Berkhamsted Cycling Club covered 343 miles from Geneva to Nice to raise money for the Pepper Foundation.
Beth Harrison raised £1,700 for the charity, cycling for a total of 26 and a half hours, climbing 26,728 ft and burning 16,365 calories.
“It was a very, very tough challenge, but I’m so pleased to have taken it on,” said Beth. “We started out from Geneva early on Saturday morning, with stopovers in Allevard, Corps and Digne-les-Bains, before reaching Nice on Tuesday evening.
“The scenery was absolutely beautiful: mountains, lakes, gorges, waterfalls, even a deer and a lizard or two!”
