An inspirational girl guide has achieved the highest award from the organisation after completing a number of challenges and projects.
A member of Girlguiding Berkhamsted District, Megan Gronow won the Queen’s Guide Award
after completing the five sections of service in guiding, outdoor challenge, personal skill development, community action and residential.
Megan achieved her senior section camp permit whilst leading a camp at Phasel’s Wood and also qualified to be a leader with rainbows. Among her challenges she investigated the Roman influence on Bath, volunteered in the Barnardo’s shop in Berkhamsted for a year and explored animal welfare.
Megan hosted a vintage tea and cake evening for the presentation and showed pictures of all the tasks for the award. At the party she was presented her award by Sue Beswick, Hertfordshire County Commissioner. Visit www.girlguiding.org.uk
