He will be at The Elgiva in St Mary’s Way, Chesham, on Tuesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 16, at 8pm.

In 2012, his UK tour included 71 arena dates, playing to more than 700,000 people, including a record breaking 10 nights at the O2 Arena in London.

According to ticket sales company Pollstar the tour helped make McIntyre the world’s biggest selling comedian in 2012, bringing in around £21m.

McIntyre has been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, regularly appears in TV stand-up comic show Live at the Apollo and was given his own chat show earlier this year.

Both of his Chesham shows sold out within hours of being announced last month.

Volunteer steward for The Elgiva John Waller, who lives in Cobb Road, Berkhamsted, said: “People are still clamouring for tickets and have even been phoning us from Thailand.

“I have heard that before he does a big show, he tries his material out at a smaller venue.

“He announced he’d be here online and it went viral in seconds. He’s a big, big star – but we can only hold 300 people. It’s quite a coup for a little theatre like The Elgiva.”
