Dacorum Borough Council is offering two subsidised workshops to local businesses.
A Recruitment and Selection Skills workshop takes place from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Thursday, September 3, at the Maylands Business Centre, on Redbourn Road, Hemel Hempstead.
Finding the right person to fill a vacancy can feel like a huge task. Getting it wrong is costly and time consuming and can affect your business in many ways.
Often managers are faced with recruiting in a hurry and may be out of practice at interviewing, assessing and deciding on who best fits the role.
This workshop will help you tackle filling a vacancy in a structured and measured way.
It will help you identify what skills and abilities you are looking for, how to advertise, how to structure your interview around these competencies and how to collect the information from the candidates to enable you to make a correct decision.
The cost is £90 plus VAT, including lunch. To book a place, contact 01442 531002 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Are you interested in growing your business in a global economy? Dacorum Borough Council, in partnership with UKTI, has organised an exporting workshop designed to give you an overview and understanding of the key opportunities in exporting.
The workshop, which runs from 8.15am to 10.15am on Wednesday, September 23, at the Watermill Hotel on London Road, Bourne End, is entitled Exporting – Good For Your Bottom Line. The cost of £17 includes networking and a full English breakfast.
