Warning of high winds of up to 70mph in Hertfordshire on Tuesday
People in Hertfordshire are being warned to expect severe gales of up to 70mph tomorrow afternoon.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning of high winds sweeping eastwards across the county from 3pm until 11.30pm on Tuesday.
The weather warning states that gusts could reach 60 to 70 mph inland and possibly 80 mph along exposed coasts, particularly Wales and through the Bristol Channel.
People are being asked to be aware of the risk of disruption to travel and that gusts of this strength could bring down trees and lead to some damage to weakened structures.
