Volunteers sleep rough for homeless charity

Kat Cox, Charlotte Smith and Ruth Osborne were among the DENS supporters out in force at the St Albans Abbey Sleepout on Friday night.

Started in the 1990s by the Rev Paul Hackwood, the Abbey Sleepout sees up to 400 sponsored supporters sleep under the stars each year, to raise funds for homeless charities.

So far, the DENS supporters have raised over £9,000, with sponsorship still coming in, and DENS thanked all those who took part.
