Students from the Pauline Quirke Academy (PQA) in Hemel Hempstead were invited to an exclusive masterclass with Pauline herself on Saturday, July 25.

The 13 to 18-year-olds took part in an Acting For Television masterclass, taught by the Birds Of A Feather star, which focused on acting techniques for the screen, and participated in an improvisation exercise where they were able to act alongside Pauline.

Students also took part in a Musical Theatre masterclass with West End performer Mark Goldthorp and musical director Jordan Li- Smith.

The day ended with a question and answer session, with Pauline answering questions relating to the industry.

The unforgettable event took place in London’s West End RADA studios, the training ground for many actors.

Pauline said: “When I was younger, some of my happiest times were spent in drama classes, so it was great to be back in the studio and share some of the skills I have learnt over years in the industry with my students.

“They were all superb and I came away feeling very proud.”
