Tring Writers Circle to launch its first anthology of short stories
The launch will be held at the newly-opened Albert Street Community Arts and Education Centre in Tring.
All proceeds from the publication will be donated to local charity Rennie Grove Hospice Care, which is based in the town.

Hide AdThe anthology, titled Flights of Fancy, contains 23 stories by 14 writers, in a range of styles and genres.
Ian Skillicorn, founder and director of National Short Story Week, has contributed an introduction. Copies will be available in the Rennie Grove bookshop and Fancy That in Tring, as well as Waterstones and Dar Papillon in Berkhamsted.
The anthology is just £5, with the entire purchase price being donated to charity, thanks to sponsors Baxter & Lindley Financial Services, Slightly Mad Studios and John Lambert Car Sales.
Liz Raba, founder and director of the Albert Street Community Arts and Education Centre, will host the anthology launch at its newly renovated premises.

Hide AdShe said: “So much of the work we do here is with young people, so it’s great to be able to encourage their creativity by welcoming writers of all ages to share their work.”
The anthology has been edited by Helen Garton, a TWC member, who said: “It’s definitely got something for everybody.
“Some of the stories will make you laugh, and some will even make you cry. And it’s been a pleasure putting it all together for such a great cause.”
Tring Writers Circle – whose numbers include published novelists, poets and short story writers – hope that Flights of Fancy is just the first of many ventures into print together.
