Trial date set for man accused of 1984 knifepoint sex attacks
Paul Drinkwater, 51, of no fixed address, is alleged to have seriously sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in Durrants Lane, Northchurch, at around 11.45pm on November 25, 1984.
At around 1am on December 16 of the same year, he is accused of attacking two 18-year-old girls in Bullbeggars Lane, Berkhamsted.
Both assaults were at knifepoint.

Hide AdDrinkwater was arrested in June this year by officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit (BCHMCU).
He has been charged with false imprisonment, indecent assault, rape, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to the November incident.
In relation to the December incident he has been charged with two counts of false imprisonment, indecent assault, rape, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
Appearing at St Albans Crown Court on Monday, Drinkwater denied all of the offences. He will now face trial on Monday, December 1, the court said.
