The Rookie Cooks Challenge is a fun new cookery course directed by the hospice’s award-winning chef, Chris Took.

In just eight weeks, the chosen eight Rookies will become able to create delicious homemade meals from everyday ingredients.

The tasty challenge starts on Thursday September 29, and will run every Thursday for six weeks, ending with a celebration dinner to showcase the cooks’ newly acquired skills to friends and family on Saturday November 19.

The challenge is open to anyone as long as they can’t cook, with the selected Rookies raising sponsorship throughout their cooking journey to help fund the free, expert care the hospice provides to people living with life-limiting illnesses in west Herts and south Bucks.

“We know at the hospice how food can transform the lives of our patients and we are expecting to see the transformation of our Rookie Cooks too.”
