Hi-vis jackets have been presented to a group of volunteers who help transfer blood supplies between hospitals and hospices in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

Funds raised by Abbots Langley Tough Ten race event has paid for the jackets for SERV Herts & Beds volunteers who also fund their own fuel and servicing costs. Their motorcyclists needed new jackets and the Tough Ten was able to fund 40 for them.

John McCombe , area co-ordinator who received the jackets from Tough Ten committee member, Pat Waterton said there was always room for more volunteers and they don’t have to be motorcyclists. Contact him on jf_mccombe@hotmail.com
