Tiny tots and staff at a day nursery will be taking part in a Cycle Challenge next month.
Tiny Toes, in the grounds of Leverstock Green Primary School, is part of the Bright Horizons group of more than 200 nurseries and pre-schools in the UK and Ireland.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, seven staff will be cycling from the northernmost nursery in Aberdeen to The Grand Hotel, in Brighton, a 700-mile ride.
The challenge, which aims to raise £50,000 for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, will take 10 days, covering up to 80 miles a day.
Along the way, the cyclists will be visiting nurseries, calling in to Tiny Toes on May 15.
The nursery children will take part in a sponsored cycle ride on the day, and nursery manager Rosemary Quint will be cycling to work from her home in Tring to raise funds for the foundation.
The nursery uses a grant from the foundation to support the local women’s refuge.
It has refurbished the playroom and holds monthly play sessions for children in the refuge once a month.
