Magnolia Flowers in Tring has been run by 56 year old Beverley Hartman for 31 years, but the businesswoman says it is time to move on to pastures new and is handing over the shop to colleague Helen Mitchell.

The High Street unit will remain as a flower shop, though it will be under the slightly new guise of Magnolia of Tring.

Beverley said: “Flower fashions change throughout the years, but Magnolia is still going strong and our customers have always been great in Tring – it’s a lovely town.

People say the business has done well to keep going through several recessions, but I say I have been well supported by everyone in the town.

“It’s been a wonderful 31 years but it’s time for me to hang up my apron, and I know Helen is going to keep it all going.

“She knows the business and our customer base really well.”

Helen has worked alongside Beverley for 16 years at the shop. The official changeover takes place tomorrow.
