October 21, 2015 is Back To The Future Day - the day which Marty McFly time-travels to in the 1980s film series.

He uses a time-travelling DeLorean car, which can go to the past or future when it hits 88mph.

And Herts Police are taking the opportunity to remind motorists to travel safely.

A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Although the image was created in good fun, we hope it gets across some serious messages around road safety and encourages everyone to help keep Hertfordshire’s roads safe.

“Speed is one of the main factors in fatal road traffic collisions and we’d remind everyone a speed limit is a limit and not a target. The greater the speed, the less time a person has to stop if something unexpected happens.

“Reducing your speed can really make the difference between life and death.”
