A new restaurant offering ‘an authentic flavour of the USA’ is set to open in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, creating 45 new jobs in the process.
Coast to Coast is opening at Jarman Leisure Park hot on the heels of Tex Mex chain Chiquito which opened last week. The new restaurants are all part of the major redevelopment of Hemel’s leisure hub.
Coast to Coast promises to bring all American favourites and casual dining to the town.
A spokesman said: “Guests can experience a gastronomic adventure from the east to west coast of America, with dishes and cocktails inspired by recipes from across the pond.”
Open throughout the day, the menu offers burgers are made from freshly pressed beef served with straw fries and spicy ketchup. Coast to Coast pizzas are served Chicago style and there is a wide range of toppings to choose from.
Steaks, sizzling fajitas, Chicago wings, Boston Prawns and barbecue boards also feature while desserts include things like chocolate honeycomb and blackcurrant cheesecake alongside classics such as chocolate brownies and pecan pie.
The restaurant will also serve a full range of American cocktails, mocktails and beers such as classic Mojitos to the more adventurous Peanut Butter and Key Lime Pie Martinis.
American Motown music and décor completes the experience with leather booth-seating, dark wood tables, maps of the Lincoln Highway and classic US memorabilia on the walls.
But it’s not just good news for foodies. The opening of Coast to Coast has also created another 45 jobs at Jarman Park which will be filled by local residents in a mixture of full and part time positions.
Restaurant manager Ferdinand de Leon Baldemor said he was thrilled to be heading up what is the chain’s 13th restaurant.
He said: “With a delicious menu packed with tasty American inspired dishes, as well as a fantastic range of cocktails served up in a relaxed atmosphere, we hope people will want to return time and time again.”
