Start thinking about sleep-out for DENS

Dacorum’s own charity dedicated to helping the homeless is asking people to sign up for its annual sleep-out event at St Albans Abbey.

You can support DENS – and have a taste of what it’s like to sleep without a roof over your head – at the event on Friday, December 5.

One participant in last year’s sleep-out said:“The experience was definitely one that was worth doing, I’m glad in a way that it rained as I really got to feel the discomfort that those without a roof over their heads may face.”

The Sleepout is taking place between 9pm-7am in the grounds of the nearby cathedral, and refreshments and toilet facilities will be available throughout the night.

Most Popular

Children under 11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and teens under 18 are welcome as part of an organised group, with at least two adults per group of 8 young people.
