Ten-year-old Harry Battram has renal failure, which means his kidneys are unable to filter toxins out of the body.

Although he looks outwardly well, Harry has to take daily medication and eat a heavily regulated diet to manage his condition.

The afternoon of giant games, entertainment and an Easter egg hunt took place at The Roof Gardens in London’s Kensington. It was hosted by the charity, which grants wishes for young people with serious and terminal illness.

Joining Harry and the other children at the party were special guests Starlight ambassadors Blue Peter presenter Lindsey Russell and actor Tom Chambers.

Harry’s mum, Johanna, said: “Harry was so excited when we were invited to Starlight’s Easter party. It gave us something to look forward to in the holidays and the chance to experience something special that no-one else can do.

We’ve had a wonderful day and we’re so grateful to Starlight for everything they do. It really does give all the kids and their parents a welcome break from hospitals and everyday routines.”
