Motorists are being advised of “significant delays” on the M25 in Hertfordshire, after a rubbish lorry overturned and shed its load this morning.
The incident occurred at 8.55am today between junctions 21A and 22 clockwise.
Highways England and emergency services are currently at the scene dealing with the incident, and motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
There is one lane open, but three lanes remain closed.
The motorway is likely to remain partially closed until later this evening as the rubbish lorry has overturned shedding its load across the carriageway. The road will also need to be cleaned following a diesel spill.
The M25 will fully reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
