CEO of B&M Care Ian Sloan takes part in the Virtual Dementia Tour

On Saturday, B&M Care, which operates four care homes in Dacorum caring for older people with dementia, is offering local people the chance to take part in The Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT).

The VDT is a unique, interactive training experience that’s proven to improve communication and the way staff care for people with dementia.

B&M Care is using the experience to train all of its staff.

A company spokesman said: “The impact of this training has been phenomenal and has, without a doubt, impacted positively on the way our staff deliver care to people that live with a dementia.

“We want to share this experience with people and families in the Hemel community that care for someone with a dementia, and would like to invite people to take part in this experience for free.”

Book a place on the VDT at 3pm on Saturday at B&M Care’s head office at Old Town Court, 70 Queensway, Hemel Hempstead, by calling The Lodge on 01442 244722.
