Pupils at Westbrook Hay Prep School raised an incredible £3,500 for CLIC Sargent children’s cancer charity with an exciting week of Harry Potter-themed events to celebrate Readathon. Activites included creating dragon’s breath and levitating flames in the science lab.

Wednesday saw the whole school dress up as their favourite book character.
All the children aged from two to 13 went to school in costume, with the wide assortment of characters including Mr Bump, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Long John Silver, George’s Marvellous Medicine and The Boy in the Dress.
At break time, older children volunteered to read stories to lower dchool children in the playground.
On Thursday it was the turn of the older children to listen, as all seven Harry Potter stories were read aloud simultaneously by members of staff.
