Skaters in Hemel Hempstead have been taking advantage of the cold weather by practicing their routines on frozen puddles.

Amie shared a video with The Gazette of her daughter, Lucy-May, and some other local skaters who were using frozen puddles to practice as they have been unable to go to a rink for two months.

Amie said: "She’s skated since she was six and is desperate to get back on the ice.

"The frozen puddles by Aldi and the Ford garage made a great ice rink for the local skaters that haven’t been able to go to the rink in two months.

"They all skate at the Planet Ice rink at Jarman Park.

"Lucy-May's coaches are Arthur Ebel, Pamela Kelly, Poppy Miles and Charlotte Cook, Arthur and Poppy were recently on ITV for the Real Full Monty."
