Hemel woman creates Mr Ted A Bear to spread happiness during coronavirus pandemic

Have you seen Mr Ted A Bear?

A woman from Hemel Hempstead created Mr Ted A Bear to spread a little happiness to her work colleagues in the NHS and her neighbours during the coronavirus pandemic. Barbara Brinlow started to dress up Mr Ted A Bear and place him in her window in Leverstock Green, when the country went into lockdown on March 23. Mr Ted A Bear started with a NHS Rainbow, then over Easter he turned in to a Rabbit and he then made his own PPE to help out. He went red, white and blue to celebrate 75 years VE day and then he sat on the front lawn listening to his music. Mr Ted joined in with a works Zoom meeting but he said he was not interested and got out his magazine. Then there were those toilet rolls -- and now he is doing his extra keep fit to keep - going that extra mile. Barbara said: "I was working from home and wanted to do something to cheer people up. I work for the NHS and I wanted to do something that would cheer my colleagues up and also my neighbours. I send a picture to all my colleagues and then they send it on as well. He sits in the window and people who go past on their exercise love seeing him, it's been a really successful idea and people love him."
