Rennie Grove is offering a range of festive fundraising opportunities to help people get into the Christmas spirit and raise money to support its services for local patients and families.

Christmas is always an important time of the year for fundraising but with the coronavirus restrictions, many of the usual community fundraising activities are not able to go ahead in the normal way.

Rennie Grove has been working hard to adapt its festive programme so people can get involved and enjoy some festive cheer while raising money to keep its nurses caring throughout Christmas.

The Rudolph Run usually takes place in St Albans every year, giving families the chance to dress up in their festive finery, don a pair of antlers and run in the popular 1.5K or 5K fun run.

This year, the Rudolph Run will be virtual, this means families can complete a 1.5K or 5K route anywhere they like during December, spreading seasonal cheer with their Christmas outfits and raising money for Rennie Grove.

Sign up before December 18 at www.renniegrove.org/rudolphrun.

Amy Chambers, head of fundraising development at Rennie Grove, said: “It’s been a difficult year for fundraising and with the number of patients we are caring for increasing sharply, we’d like to encourage the local community to get involved and raise as much money as possible to help us continue to be here for everyone who needs us. Thank you.”
