“We won’t ever get to play golf together again!” were Jordan's words after circumstances and life changing obstacles left him and his grandad missing a sport they loved and had played together for years.

On January 29 last year, Jordan suffered a spinal stroke whilst at work, a healthy, happy, outgoing teenager, who in a second had his life changed - he was left paralysed from the waist down, struggling to adjust to new hurdles and boundaries.

But a few months ago Jordan was re-introduced to his main passion, golf.

The Golf Trust is a project that aims to grow the participation in golf by showcasing the inclusive nature of the game, focusing on the social, physical and mental aspects of life the golf trust aims to bring people together from all areas of life to play.

Jordan's sister, Amy, said: "This non-profit-organisation provides one-on-one mentoring and is nothing short of incredible.

"They have worked with Jordan week in and week out with a personal coach teaching him once more how to enjoy a sport he adores.

"The coaches make Jordan feel humbled, happy, proud and excited to be a part of something that gives him a sense of hope and achievement.

"Not only do they provide their coaching and equipment for free, they are one of the only known trust organisations within the industry to offer the paragolfer to their disabled golfers.

"This equipment enables people with conditions like Jordan to have the opportunity to stand both comfortably and safely meaning that they are able to play golf how they once could.

"The golf trust has been supportive of Jordan since day one and includes his family in his experience continuously."

Less then 2 weeks ago as a result of their hard work and caring nature, Jordan and his grandad were able to play golf together once more, an experience they both thought they would never have a chance to relive and a memory that will stay with them both for many years to come.

Jordan said: "I cannot put into words how grateful I am for how they have helped me mentally and physically. They have changed my life and given me a new sense of focus.

"The coaches have gone above and beyond to make me feel as happy as possible and mentor me so that I can continue to progress.

"Any donations would go a long way towards helping buy another paragolfer, they really are amazing pieces of equipment and give people with disabilities the chance to enjoy parts of life they otherwise wouldn’t be able to.

"As a non profit organisation the charity struggles to afford the expensive equipment, meaning that the trust are currently limited to the services they can offer.

"The golf trust have changed my outlook on life and the things I before thought would now be impossible.

"I cannot thank them enough for being so supportive of me so I’m trying to help raise funding and awareness so that maybe one day the golf trust will be able to buy more paragolfers and change the lives of lots more people like me."
