The first event took place last year raising over £800 for DENS and the Mayors chosen charity, Sunnyside Rural Trust.

Cllr Julie Banks, portfolio holder for community and regulatory services said: “What an innovative way to ensure Dacorum residents are able to connect virtually, whilst improving their wellbeing and giving people the opportunity to step up to a new challenge.”

To take part in the virtual challenge, there is a minimum ticket donation of £5 where all proceeds will be donated to Raise, a charity selected by the Mayor.

Raise is the charity dedicated to supporting patient care across Hemel Hempstead, St Albans City and Watford General Hospitals.

Mayor of Dacorum, cllr Terry Douris said: “Choosing Raise as a charity was an easy option for the event this year, as our hospitals have been working so hard to look after local residents during the pandemic.”

Everyone who takes part will receive a medal.
