Dacorum Motorcycle Riders forced to reschedule Christmas gift delivery as the borough moves into 'Very High' Tier 3
Dacorum Motorcycle Riders have had to reschedule this weekend's Christmas gift delivery after today's announcement that the borough will be moving into Tier 3.
The group of motorcycle riders had been working with Monks Inn in Hemel Hempstead to collect gifts and deliver them to patients in hospital.
The Christmas gift delivery was part of the hospital's charity campaign, Raise A Smile, which was collecting donations for staff and patients.
But following today's announcement that Dacorum and Hertfordshire are moving into the highest tier, the group has had to cancel this Saturday's delivery.
Jon Andrews, from Dacorum Motorcycle Riders, said: "The charity Christmas gift run to the hospital this Saturday has to be cancelled, I'm really gutted but it can't be helped.
"This hasn't beaten us and we are planning to do this bigger and better for the hospital when we are allowed to.
"This gift run will still go ahead, and we will deliver gifts to patients in hospital, just not this weekend."
