The instrument will be auctioned or raffled to raise funds for the charity’s work supporting patients at the trust’s three hospitals in West Hertfordshire.

Gareth Malone is a choral conductor and broadcaster, best known for his TV programme The Choir, in which he introduces people to choral singing.

Raise is the charity dedicated to patient care across Hemel Hempstead, Watford General, and St Albans City hospitals since 1995.

Donations to the charity helps fund the latest technology, environmental enhancements, staff development and extra comforts that make such a difference to patients, day after day, above and beyond what the NHS can afford alone.
