Dacorum Borough Council has been working with Hemel Storm and Everyone Active to build new stands at the leisure centre where the team holds its home games.

The investment in the new bleachers has now increased the crowd capacity for national league basketball games to 639.

The seats were put to use for the first time at the Hemel Storm versus Loughborough Riders game - and it was victory for the home team.

Steve Cox, area contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “We’re all delighted with the new stands.

"The increased capacity means more fans can attend the games and support their team. What’s more, Hemel Storm achieved an impressive 98-74 victory on Saturday - a great way to celebrate the investment.”
